All of your steps lead you to being able to take care of you! God was with you! Honestly I’ve had bad experiences with dermatologist prescribing stuff and not even getting to know a patients background or the medicine and literally was miserable. For over half a year.

Nurse here 👋 Any steroid medication does have the potential for raising blood sugars.It has more potential when digested, but there is still limited absorption with the cream. I do think the doctor failed to educate. Glad you got help at the right time and doing better now.🥰 DKA is no funny business. I do wish DKA was talked about more, not to start fear but to be informed.

DKA is SO scary! My husband (was boyfriend as the time) went through it twice within a few months with 2 weeks in the ICU! He has T1D! You are not crazy for wanting to talk about it & process it! Do you know how high your blood sugar got?

my husband went into DKA and was in the ICU for 5 days, then got an infection from the hospital and had to stay another 9 days. it was awful. I’m so sorry that happened to you!
