Alhamdulillah, last weekend, the An Nasiha team, in collaboration with Madina Masjid Sheffield, hosted a Free Diabetic Health Screening event, and it was a tremendous success! The event was designed to provide essential health screenings and raise awareness about diabetes and its complications while combining medical insights with spiritual reminders. We were honoured to have Professor Solomon Tesfaye, a leading consultant in diabetes and endocrinology, who delivered an informative session on the risk factors, prevalence, and complications of diabetes, including neuropathy. His expertise provided attendees with valuable knowledge and practical advice to manage and prevent diabetes. Our distinguished guest, Shaykh Gul Muhammad, reminded us of the importance of maintaining good health through the teachings of the Qur’an and Prophetic narrations. His inspiring talk emphasised the spiritual duty of caring for our health and bodies as an amanah (trust) from Allah. The event saw a great turnout, with both men and women participating in the screenings and seminars. Free blood pressure and diabetes checks were generously provided by London Road Pharmacy, ensuring that attendees left with a better understanding of their health status. A special congratulations to Brother Nadeem Abbas for his hard work in organising this fantastic event. His dedication was instrumental in its success. We also extend our gratitude to Diabetes UK, whose fantastic stall and unwavering support in facilitating the event were invaluable. The programme began with a dedicated diabetic neuropathy screening for ladies, followed by a seminar featuring both guest speakers and an engaging Q&A session. The day concluded with a men’s diabetic neuropathy screening, ensuring the needs of all attendees were met. We are deeply grateful to the volunteers, health professionals, and organisers who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Your dedication and commitment to serving the community are invaluable. May Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ accept our efforts and grant good health to all. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to serving you at future events!#Sheffield #madinamasjidsheffield #diabetes #diabitesawareness #daiabites #sheffieldmhslim #daiabitesuk #sheffield #southyorkshire
