I just want to clarify - everything in this video stands true. Pure strawberry (essential oil, absolute, etc) does not exist and Strawberry Alcoholate Orpur (created by Givaudan) is a byproduct and not a true essential oil or absolute. Rose absolute for example - is extracted by solvent and is a direct natural capturing the hundreds of molecules that naturally occur in rose petals. Strawberry Alcoholate Orpur on the other hand is derived from byproducts (pulps and skins) and treated with alcohol to extract volatile compounds that survive - majority of the “fresh strawberry” molecules are lost in processing and you only get hints of green fruitiness - not strawberry. You need other aroma molecules in the formula to create a true strawberry accord.
