So what will happen is if it is brought to court ever, they will automatically lose. Reason being is Obviousness. If it is obvious to a reasonable person that if you summon a character and it will fight for you than the patent is too obvious and cannot be upheld.

There will be legal consequences for this patent. The wording is too broad and covers not only Pokémon style games, but literally any summon or pet style gameplay. Nintendo finally overstepped and I think they're going to pay for it

you can't even summon a Pokemon. it's called from a ball which is location near the user. it's not from a far away place.

You realize all of these need to ve true at once, right? It's not a patent for every individual feature you're reading, it's a combination of all of them because palworld literally ripped off pokemon, that's the entire schtick of the game, it's not a secret. Games like persona and digimon are safe because they actually tried to be their own games

the fact they couldn't define a sub-charecter with out saying Pokémon as an example shows they actually cant even define properly what a sub-charecter is. you cant define something with itself.
