honestly Tom Nook is a terrible banker but a great Loan officer, like he lends you the loans with no interest, and the only thing to pay it back is helping out the community, like that's what a good loan officer does(assuming they want to better the community) but as a banker he'd lose way too much capitol to keep the business running, maybe that's why he owns the island and has us move there with everyone
