G-F starter is hard. Never let it go over 24 hours without feeding. You can go much smaller also. A couple Tablespoons each day is enough. Just make sure you only keep as much starter as you are going to feed.

I tried a regular sour dough starter and quit after 10 days. I am not patient like you are! If you get it going, I'll buy some from you to make bread. lol.
