Thanks for sharing the vanilla bean paste recipe. I’ve been making vanilla extract for 15 yrs, it IS better the longer it steeps. But it can certainly be used after 3-4 months without smelling or tasting boozy.

You REALLY want bang for your buck? Make the vanilla extract first (I use a dark rum). Then take the spent pods and make paste with them after. Literally makes double the servings.
