Go back and get it fixed without paying for it, she didn’t do a good job

Your 100% justified! I can see what you’re talking about- it just looks poorly blended. And if you’re unhappy I feel that they really should be willing to at least get you back for a toner or something! X

If your hairdresser won’t rectify - you should get your money back, or at least a part refund.

you shouldn't have to justify your feelings to strangers on the internet. you paid a hairdresser for a service and that person didn't deliver. it's as simple as that

From another perspective, colour always builds up on hair with each application. Your hairdresser may have intentionally allowed some lighter tones to remain so as not to add unnecessary layers of colour, which would only make the next lightening session more difficult.
She’s actually done an incredible job creating an even, consistent lightness without compromising the integrity of your hair. This means your hair will remain strong enough to handle multiple stages of lightening.
Remember, your hairdresser is human. Seeing posts asking for “backup” on social media can feel overwhelming. She is just one person, and no hairdresser sets out to upset their clients.
So, ask yourself: what outcome are you really looking for here? You agreed to trust her plan for your hair, and lightening is always a process that takes more than one stage. Think of it like building a house—if you judged it before the walls were finished, you’d think something was wrong, when really it’s just not complete yet.
I’m sorry you’re not happy with the first stage, but it is only the beginning. Trust the process—you’ll see the full result once the work is complete.

I hate when kind people have stuff like this happen. Not ok for the stylist not to offer anything. I would be mortified to have someone not happy with my work.

I totally get you! I've had similar things happen to my hair, it's not the colour that's the main problem, it's the placement/technique of the foils!

Hey chooky! Colourist here, some lowlights would help heaps. What you said about if they were finer pieces to make it less orange is true. If it was more blended , the combo of your base colour and the highlights would trick the eye into it aprearing softer and less ‘blorange”. (This is also why it’s looking nicer straight than curly). Because you’re such an awesome client this would be a pretty simple adjustment. If you’re still in contact with the hairdresser maybe ask if she wouldn’t mind adding some soft lowlights just to break up how strong the dimension is. Just in case she didn’t want to adjust your colour for you if she thought you were wanting her to add more lightener onto your hair. - any questions I’m happy to help :)

You are beautiful. Unfortunately it looks like your hairdresser may not have enough experience in foiling. I’m with you ❤

I am a hairdresser, and I think she has messed up , and sometimes that happens , but she should fix it , especially when you made $400 . Go back and do not take no for an answer . 🙏

Kinda looks like she went for the calico chunky highlights which is not what you asked to for at all.
