@queensummahluv: Prayers for Our HBCUs I really hope and pray that these threats are nothing more than a horrible hoax. Because one thing is clear — this is not a “Black-on-White” crime situation. The shooting of Charlie Kirk happened in Utah, and now, the very next day, several of our Historically Black Colleges and Universities are under lockdown from terroristic threats. We must stop this. What’s Happening: Virginia State, Hampton, Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman, and Southern University all received “terroristic threats” and went into lockdown today. Spelman College has increased security, though no direct threat was made. Students, faculty, and staff have been told to shelter in place, cancel classes, or move to remote operations while law enforcement investigates. This comes just one day after conservative figure Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University, where nearly 77% of the student body is White and less than 0.9% is Black. Please keep our students, faculty, and staff at these schools in your prayers.
