I would say he was shot because he was holding the knife.....jaywalking is a citation....if he had warrants, drugs, or in this case a weapon, he is going to jail. imagine if he had just gave his name and took the ticket.

Not jaywalking….. he was vandalizing and was order to stop and he started threatening with a deadly weapon!!!! I see no wrongdoing by the police. If only the guy complied it would be different story!!!!
