@justaltonbrown: I don’t always hardcook my eggs, but when I do, here’s how. #goodeats #eggs #homecooking #foodscience Oh, and this is my actual and only TikTok account.
You need farm fresh eggs! They don’t need to be refrigerated!

instead of letting them set out for 24 hours, can you let them sit in warm water for 20 or 30 minutes? would that have the same effect?

Alton Brown: Old eggs are easier to peel than new eggs.
My brain: Got it 👍🏽 Step 1: abandon eggs in fridge for at least 30 days.

a great man once taught me that when you're boiling eggs always boil 4. one for a test, two for the recipe and one for a snack

Well, for the past decade I’ve been doing your other method of putting them in cold water, bringing them to a boil and immediately turning off the heat at the same time you put the lid on and wait EXACTLY 8 minutes before cooling and peeling. Perfect every time 👌🏼

I’ve been doing this for years … when I make Jasmine rice for myself in my studio apartment size rice cooker, I play seven large eggs in the steamer pan that I also use to steam dumplings in … perfect eggs, each and every time

If you get unwashed eggs from a farm stand and do not wash them until ready to eat, they can stay on your counter for weeks. Folks in most of Europe don’t refrigerate eggs.

Pressure cooker. We do eggs in the instant pot. 3-4 minutes is soft and jammy. 7 minutes is fully cooked. All way peel super easy. LMK when you try…

Just get chickens. Then the bloom is still on the egg and they are counter safe. Our eggs dot go in the fridge ever.
