frutholstrup Thank you Easvillemin and artofthepantheon for inviting me to a private pre screening of Modì, Three Days on the Wing of Madness at Tate last night. The movie is based on the life of ltalian artist Amedeo Modigliani and is brilliantly directed by Johnny Depp. Modigliani is played by Riccardo Scamarcio who at the talk after the screening explained that coincidentally he had grown up with a mother who was a sculptor and was obsessed with Modigliani. Al Pacino plays the revered Art Collector and the scene where artist and collector meets is hugely powerful. Antonia Desplat Modigliani's muse is also a starring role. This huge and at times dark movie is an absolute must see which transports you back to war torn Paris in 1916 and guides you through 3 days in the artist quarter. Legendary Waldemar Januszczak hosted the fascinating talk afterwards discussing 'The plight of the artist with the brilliant Epollymorganartist thank you Ecarosciamma for coming with me it was a fabulous evening.
