any com device can connect to any other com device as long as they both support Bluetooth coms. but you can NOT join a cardo dynamic mesh com chat unless you own a cardo. mesh chats are exclusive to the brand. the Bluetooth coms suck compared to the mesh chats btw. the range of connection for Bluetooth coms is also horrible.
