I honestly love this issue so much 💔 The original (& CURRENT) meaning symbolises Kon & Clark CHOOSING to be family. ‘Kon-el’ being the name of someone that was adopted/taken in to be a part of the El family back in Krypton (even though they weren’t genetically born an El) is soooo good 💔 They aren’t family cause of their genetic relationship, they CHOOSE to be fam ‼️Clark asks Superboy if he’s comfortable accepting the name ‘Kon-el’ to show them (Clark & Kon) being family beyond the heroics. I’ll LOATHE them for making ‘Kon’ mean ‘abomination’ for the 4ish years of new52. THE OG & CURRENT MEANING IS SO GOOD & IMPORTANT 💔
