Destroying the evidence of history is a tactic. Off the top of my head, for example 73AD might get lost. Palmyra still makes me weep. Ypres, where one can’t simply rebuild history and call it the same. Aged 12 I recall our classics teacher saying how Schliemann and Evans are to archeology what butchery is to surgery. If books were accurate history Dan McClellan would be drawing comics.

Remember when Western Media pumped 24-7 horror about the destruction of those beautiful statues by ISIS? Not a sound about the oldest Christian churches on earth being casually atomised. I am an atheist, and this wholesale destruction is appalling to me.

hum... I think there was a terrorist organization that I remember destroying artifacts not too long ago and the US was against the practice... the Taliban maybe? 🤔 oh and maybe there was a US leader who negotiated to allow that organization to come back to power... 🤔
