My husband has been there to listen, be patient, kind, and supportive of my decision. He was also a liberal with strong liberal views, but he’s been on this journey with me to step out of the harmful bubble we were in and overcome what we were struggling with. If you’re new here, I made videos about why I left the left. It’s been a lot. But my husband and all of you guys have helped me get through it. And I don’t mean to sound dramatic but it’s an intense experience coming to the realization that everything I knew ended up being lies and changed me into someone i didn’t want to be. It’s hard to think you’re stepping away from something that has been so incredibly important to you since you were a teenager. The communities I love are still just as important to me. That hasn’t changed. But what has changed is I’ve learned that those communities are also important to the right and I was lied to for years by the left telling me the right hated who I support and love. I thought leaving my party was leaving behind my values and beliefs and that’s not true at all. I’m so grateful for this man for helping me understand that. I love him and you guys so much!
