Lethal injection is torture im anti death penalty no government should have the power to take its civilians lives plus a lot of innocent people have been executed along with the fact its more expensive to use the death penalty vs life without parole

I am wondering what the position of the LDS church is on Kirk's death. According to the NY Post, Tyler Robinson was raised as a Mormon.

What strikes me isn’t just the violence itself but the fear it creates: the sense that you can’t trust your own community, that the danger could come from your neighbors or even your government. That’s not a new feeling in America - minorities have lived with that fear for generations. What’s happening now is that white America is starting to taste a sliver of it. Just a teaspoon. And because we’re so used to privilege, that teaspoon feels like a flood. We panic, we call it an epidemic, while others have been living with the firehose of that fear for centuries. That’s the irony. It almost makes me think: good. Wake up. Maybe this little taste helps us see what we’ve ignored for so long. And the funny part is, for years, so many white people looked at the anger of Black and brown communities and dismissed it as their own fault. But look around now… our own communities are fracturing, and suddenly we understand. Suddenly we’re furious too. Maybe this is the empathy check we needed.

If he’s proven guilty, he will get the death penalty. No doubt.

Thought you may be interested in this case from Utah as well… The case in Utah concerns Ralph Menzies, a death row inmate convicted of murder in 1986 who has developed dementia, with his attorneys arguing his condition prevents him from understanding the reasons for his execution. Although a judge previously ruled Menzies competent, his worsening condition and a recent Utah Supreme Court decision prompted a new competency review, which is ongoing. The situation highlights the legal complexities of executing individuals with severe dementia, a condition that raises questions about their understanding of the legal process and their punishment. In 1986, Menzies abducted and killed 26-year-old Maurine Hunsaker, a mother of three, in northern Utah.
