As a Christian, what happened to him was truly awful. I would never joke about his death, BUT, he WAS NOT a man of God and he didn’t not preach the true word of God. He “preached” & debated what he thought was right based on his own opinions, not on the actual word of God and I will stand on that and defend that until I am blue in the face!

As a white woman, this is why I’m conflicted as well. I can’t support the idolatry of a human who inflicted harm on particular groups of people. What hurts more is seeing many “Christian’s” dismiss his rhetoric.

i heard “after the situation i’m conflicted” and sat right down. i’ve never been more troubled in my life when it comes to my Christianity and what i believe in in a situation. i just want to be on the right side of God’s word!

I’ve learned a lot through all this. He was part of Christian nationalism. Their views are based on power and combining it with scripture. As a Christian I’m a follower of Jesus and love the marginalized. Hold onto your faith and keep the love of God in your heart. ❤

Multiple things can be true at once. What happened to him was awful, BUT he spread a lot of racism and bigotry and homophobic ideology. A lot of it. The gospel also isn’t coated in hate or anger. You worded it all perfectly.

I’m so confused on why so many Christian’s idolized him. I saw a post of somone saying when they pass they are looking forward to see him. so many are acting like he is the picture of Christianity that we should all try to represent. I fear this is idolatry and if so many Christians identify with his message then non believers aren’t the only once we should be asking God to reach

I discern your heart and I sense the spirit of God even guiding your words in this video as you speak! It’s the God in us that we do not celebrate his death but pray for his family, but it’s the humanity in us that causes us not to feel the need to mourn for this man! I just prayed because I was having such a hard time with all of these opinions and I was so confused because yes he shared the gospel but he didn’t show the fruits of the spirit, my heart hurt when the video of him popped up of when he was killed and I prayed for his life and family right there and then, after I prayed your video popped up and gave me peace in my heart that Jesus hears me and understands how we’re feeling. ❤️🩹
