This looks bad for both parties- a child shouldn’t be denied food but then again, why doesn’t the father feed his kid at home then go on to film the confrontation!

Why didn’t the father prepare the meal for the kid? Nothing is free in this world.

I don’t get it. How did she break the law if it’s not a regulated meal program?

Not being allowed food if you're hungry, is not the same as missing recess. Missing recess is a punishment, withholding food is withholding a human right. I don't care what the law says, we all know the difference.

As a school nurse in an elementary school for 15 years, I prohibited teachers from keeping kids out of recess. This is their time and they need it if they need to make up work, the teacher would have to find another way to do it. I had to get our medical director on board with this.

Really the question is why would anyone deny a child food he asked it should’ve been given to him. Food is not a reward

Over a missing assignment really, you denied him food for that. That’s blatant abuse on both parties from the lunchroom server and teacher.

Regardless of it being the fathers duty to by food the teacher still shouldn’t have authority to take food away from a child if the school is providing it for the kids then child should get it. It’s not going out of her own pocket.

It's about time we made parents responsible again to get out of bed, get their children up, feed them in time to leave for school. It is not the school's responsibility to feed your child. What's a bet you buy your booze, cigarettes, fast food, chips, sweets and biscuits but neglect your children.
