@criminal__acttv: Replying to @ryuunosukenishiog how to train your dragon was a lie… also check out 1st phorm linked on my page #fantasy #foryou #fyp #foryoupage #dragon
Ok I understand everything you’re saying and it makes sense but I fully believe that if I went to pet it, it would sense my pure intentions and let me (same for dinosaurs if Jurassic park was real)

Tame has nothing to do with selective breeding though? You can tame any animal, but domesticated aninals are easier to tame

Taming is training a wild animal to become more "pet-like". Elephants can be tamed, for example, but have not been domesticated. Domestification is when you selectively breed a creature for the desired features.

no, the process of selectively breeding an animal for specific traits that allow it to be domesticated is called... domestication. taming an animal is making that specific animal tolerant to human presence.

taming has nothing to do with breeding, you're thinking of domestication. taming an animal means making it so an individual member of that species is, you guessed it, tame, i.e. doesn't freak out in the presence of humans and sometimes can even be trained to perform certain tasks. asian elephants, for example, are often tamed but are not domesticated, because they reproduce in the wild and humans have no part in their selection.
