Don’t get me wrong. I feel awful for his FAMILY and the countless traumatized students present for what happened. But the case remains that this was preventable, and Charlie argued against that. Gun violence was not only accepted by Charlie but condoned by statements stating gun deaths are necessary in order to preserve the 2nd amendment. Charlie Kirk was a racist, sexist, vile person who did so much damage. His death highlights the flaws in our systems that allow people to be unalived. That does not mean people need to think he was a good person, nor necessarily feel sad by his death. ESPECIALLY those in marginalized communities that he did the most damage to.
