I feel like Stella was only written so everyone feels more sorry for Stolas because he’s the ultimate victim. Beatrice is such a fantastic written character. A horrible person but you can sympathize with how awful she was brought up and all her trauma. I would have preferred if Stella did love Stolas and via but the emotional neglect made her start to get angrier and more upset but Stolas doesn’t understand it

like, leaving aside favoritism... How would you feel if your husband, even if you didn't love him deeply, threw away all the destiny you fought for for a little imp? She should have been written as a mother who actually cared about Octavia instead of "EviL NaRc". it would add a good dynamic. I can see this version of Stella starting to resent Stolas more and more because of the emotional neglect and actually start hating him because of how much he indirectly hurts Octavia because he keeps running off with the imp but I guess that's a fantasy

its weird because isnt she just as much of a victim as stolas? she was also forced into a marriage (and PREGANCY) that she never wanted, so why is stolas the only one allowed to be upset about it? im not saying shes done no wrong but from what ive seen she's just handling the same trauma as stolas just in a way thats more destructive to the people around her rather than herself if that makes sense
