@wenintulsa: ⏰ Thinking about delaying Medicare Part B? Here’s the deal: If you don’t have creditable coverage and you wait, you could face a 10% penalty for every 12 months you delayed — and that penalty lasts for life. 🚨 The only time you can skip Part B without penalty is if you’re still covered by active employer insurance. When that ends, you’ve got 8 months to sign up penalty-free. Don’t miss that window! 💯 #fyp #healthcare #CapCut
I have credible coverage and will work until 67 but I work for a company that has 14 employees. Can I still delay taking Part B, A and D

The penalty is waived if you continue on the employer plan and enroll in Medicar B once you officially retire. You will need to have your employer complete a CMS waiver form, Also know as a Request For Employment Information form. You do not have to enroll in Part B at 65 if you have credible group coverage but you will need the waiver from your employer. It's important to provide all of the details.

Medicare Part B is only for the retired party. If you have anyone on your health insurance? They're not covered by Part B. I got Part A in 2020 when I turned 65. My youngest just turned 26, I will keep FEHP BCBS forever.

This is waved if the group insurance has more than 20 employees & has credible drug coverage. Lots of people doing this. Please give correct info.

What if you retire and are able to keep your employer coverage? If at some point you want to enroll in part B will you be penalized?

So I retire October next year. I will be 65 next September, so I should apply for Medicare B in February next year which would be eight months correct?
