I found that the high school years are when parenting is the MOST important. They get so many conflicting messages and values every day when they are trying to form their own. The way I actively parented both of mine through their high school years resulted in them becoming who they are today. Whew, it is not for the faint at heart.

I had almost the same experience as you but with my 3rd baby and I was thankful she was my last bc I wouldn’t have don’t that again either hahah i was also told to “hold the baby in the doctor is on her way” because it was New Year’s Day and no doctors were in - even tho I knew what I was doing the third time I still squeezed her in for deal life bc I know things can go wrong and I just wanted a doctor around hahah

Exact experience giving birth to my daughter. complete horror show. Did not want natural child birth! While pregnant I begged for C section! I never wanted to do it again and I did not.
