To be fair, where I live, some places will give you a free shot on your 21st birthday. They also check your ID to make sure you aren’t lying.

That’s why you find places that do offer free/discounted things for your birthday😂 I purposely went to dinner somewhere that gives you a free drink and 50% off the meal for the birthday girl/boy😅 then bar hopped where all the bars had a free drink/shot for the birthday girl/boy

I got a free glass of wine on my 21st from the bartender that knew my family for decades. She made sure that she walked over and gave it to me. That was such a fun experience.

during my decade plus behind the bar our rule was 1 complimentary drink for a birthday, but only if they dont ask for a free drink. nothing is free.
