I'm not a runner but I definitely think your battery issue is caused by using apple products. Their performance sucks and not even the specs are worth the hype.

My watch and phone died 😆 luckily, one of the kind men on the exit gate gave me his phone to call my wife 👏 He was a total lifesaver, and that act of kindness will always be remembered.

Download music ahead of time to reduce battery load from streaming! 😊

They also make tiny almost weightless magnetic chargers that attatch to ur phone back!!! They make them in like a phone case form too if you’re like worried about it coming off

i'd say iphone on low power mode!! and close all apps but music. and i've never noticed my Shokz headphones draining my battery! but i've also heard a lot of marathoners will wait till like mile 10-15 to start listening to music. and def recommend garmin for the watch dying haha!

airplane mode on your phone will still track gps. download music ahead of time and use airplane mode. i hiked a full 14-hr day and still had 70% iphone power left!

Well done. Hey, forget the AirPods, get a set of Shokz and I ditched the Apple Watch for a Garmin. Watch is still on 45% when I finish.

Pre plan your meet point. London marathon has letters so pre arrange which letter you’re meeting at. I had loads of battery but zero signal. Luckily we’d pre arranged so I just waited

I have a Garmin 235 and she’s never let me down during a marathon. My Apple Watch barely makes it 15 miles.

Connect ur AirPods to ur phone and make sure ur phone is fully charged bfr the marathon. It won’t drain ur phone battery excessively

Download music & then put your phone on airplane mode, you’ll lose gps tracking, but your watch should still be able to track you

I’ve run a very slow half marathon with AirPods while watching Netflix on my iPhone on the treadmill and my phone battery was fine? Like your phone can’t be that bad that just playing music kills it?

Apple Watch is fine for a half but for a full I recommend an entry level Garmin
