If you want the ultimate lawn, spray glyphosate 2 weeks before tilling, after tilling bring in rich mix soil, level, seed, starter fertilizer (the andersons) lightly and evenly rake in, roll in after raking, use compost spreader for peat moss, then roll in peat moss, adjust sprinklers to 15 minutes 3× daily.

That soil looked half dead. A nutrient rich top soil would have been a lot better. If you don’t address soil you’re not dealing with what caused the yard to look like that in the first place.
