My dog has this right now too, we are on a second round of antibiotics , the vet said it’s stubborn. And it’s so hard to get the meds in them and keep them down 😭

My dog had it toooo! I’m pretty sure it’s cause I lived in an apartment and other people wouldn’t pick up after their dogs 😑

I work in vet med! First round of Panacur typically does the trick but definitely recheck his stool in a couple weeks. Sometimes they need another round or an additional antibiotic :)

My pup just got over 2 bouts of this (keeping our fingers crossed that he stays clear) it’s awful 🥲🥲 my best advice is to wash EVERYTHING as they can and will pick it back up very easily

My 2 dogs had it and had to treat it 2 times in a row. Did some research online and read a lot of people’s comments about Giardia. 2 things I added that seemed to help after their vet prescribed meds were done was a pre and probiotic and also freeze dried rabbit ears off of amazon. People said the fur on the ears helps clean out the intestines

my Saluki X was found as a stray with giardia. He had a rough time with it but recovered well and that was nearly 2 years ago now 🥰

One of my dogs had it too. My dogs and I go everywhere we can together, but at least they get cleaned up after. Wishing Pluto a speedy recovery 🥰

Coconut oil naturally helps kill the parasites. Put a teaspoon in their food for a week and it should work!

for maintenance, or after anti-b try using diatomaceous earth (FOOD Grade-I mix it into food) for parasites.

My friend’s dog had this as a puppy, he got the medication and turned out fine! Hope he feels better soon!

Honestly, I would be surprised if he DIDNT have a parasite after being on his own for so long. He was probably drinking whatever stale dirty standing water he could find 🥺
