You know what I hated in math when teachers would make you do it one way and not the other like if I get the answer and I understand it one way why isn’t that? I love the core math. It totally makes sense to me like that I think was how I was doing math back in the day and they wouldn’t let me.

I didn’t understand multiplication or division because it was taught in steps. Forget a step and it’s wrong. We were also told to borrow or carry the 2, for example. But it’s not a 2, it’s 2 ones, or tens, or hundreds, and it’s not borrowed, it’s decomposed. I wish I was taught this way.
