True, I prefer strict teachers who challenge you to actually do your best instead of making you do the bare minimum of learning. You know they're good at teaching when you learn something, AND feel engaged in class without having to take notes.

this is so real! one time i reported in class and this fresh grad prof just laughed at my report (in front of everyone) because some contents were wrong instead of actually teaching me what's right :')

I like young teachers thooo, they still have that urge to actually teach, and make the class engaging and makes the class actually feel light, and because of that, the students actually wants to study, and learn that subject. While those strict profs will just sit and read the document flash on the screen, and makes the class uninteresting(based on my own experience tho🤷🏻♀️)

it really depends cause my prof before is young and male super close to our age bracket and yet he's soo good at teaching and he's not the type to joke around to fit in and he also challenge your capabilities. he's the best prof so far (even tho my grade to him is not that high lols)

I had this strict English teacher when I was in 6th grade. We would have this recitation in her class where we're asked to answer different questions about grammar (fill in the blanks, verbs, etc.). If you don't know it, you'll have to stand up until she asks you a different question. She also doesn't skip any discussions. It was scary for me, yet her class was the most exciting. I didn't had a hard time speaking English in high school because of her. I'm in third year college now but she's still the best teacher for me. [happy]

we had a prof who's absolutely Loathed by my seniors (bc they cant pass her subject) so i was expecting the WORST... turns out she's a very normal professor.. not lenient towards tardiness, calls people for recitation, teaches REALLY well (and makes jokes too)... getting perfect marks on our lab report was a bit hard but she gives "bonus" items on the quizzes which is basically a guaranteed two points... some from my batch did fail the subject (though i blame it on the new "fun and young" male prof who cant teach for shit and spends most of his time "bonding" with the students) but i think everyone in our batch passed that hurdle now, after the second time... funnily enough, some of our seniors are still failing (and doing nothing but complain)

I agreee i think its because the good strict teachers are more respectable because not only they are good at teaching and know the subject well, they push you to actually listen to them. They have automatic aura to me. Those teachers who TRY SO HARD to be laid back are so obviously baiting lazy people

I actually had an instructor back when I was in shs, most of the students hated him including me😅 but I realized that his teaching method is really great esp if you paid attention, I felt dumb when I got low scores in his basic english quiz but as soon as I adopted his method IT’S REALLY EGO BOOSTING WHEN HE RECOGNIZED MY WORK AND INTELLECT WHEN I PRESENTED OUR REPORT. He really indeed challenged my brain but that’s okay! Atleast I could use the learnings I got from him in the professional settings.
