Deliberately provoking someone until they finally react, then calling them unstable, is a way to make the behavior that caused it disappear. You put up with the little digs, insults passed off as jokes, accusations, and conversations that kept turning into arguments. Every time you tried to address what was happening, they minimized it, acted confused, or accused you of being too sensitive. Eventually, after holding it together longer than anyone realized, you reacted. Suddenly, that's the only part of the story anyone hears. Not the repeated disrespect, the boundaries they crossed, or all the times you stayed calm. Just the yelling, the tears, or the frustration they can point to as proof that you're the problem. That's how blame shifting and manipulation work. The person creating the pressure focuses on your response, leaving you defending your character while their own behavior goes unexamined. If you explain what happened before it, they call that another excuse. Healthy relationships make room for difficult conversations without deliberately pushing someone to their breaking point. Accountability means looking at the whole pattern, not choosing the moment that makes one person look innocent. You're responsible for how you respond, but that doesn't erase what someone did to provoke you. Anyone telling that story honestly has to include what happened before you finally had enough.
Choosing peace over explanations. 🖤 #selflove#lifelessons#peaceovereverything#habeshatiktok
