@whataboutaub: What brings you closer as a family? The best thing we’ve done for our family is making Sundays very distinct. All our kids know it’s the day we slow down. No work, no TV, no rushing around. Just us taking time to build our family and our relationship with God. We pile into a church pew (almost always late), sing way too loud during hymns, come home and cook a big meal and bake treats, sometimes head out for a hike or curl up on the couch for reading scriptures and a taking nap. We live in a world where our children need faith. Our faith gives us hope in a brighter future. It gives us peace through chaos and calamity. It heals our heartache and fear. But more than anything else, it brings us together as a family, united in purpose and passion. Our faith is centered on a Savior who was perfectly compassionate, a peacemaker, full of love for everyone, kind and considerate, virtuous, patient. We worship Him by striving to emulate Him, and in so doing, we have a family relationship that is more valuable than anything else this world has to offer. @whataboutjoshjones #family #christian #faith #worship #praise
