@modernday_eratosthenes: Heavy water is a thing, and it can be used in nuclear reactors #stem #science Sources: 1. “Deuterium-to-hydrogen in the Solar System” – European Space Agency 2. “Deuterium oxide” – The American Chemical Society 3. “What are Isotopes?” International Atomic Energy Agency
Thank you for the knowledge, i didnt know this before.

Seas and oceans' water is never H2O, cause H20 is distilled water, the one it's used to iron clothes. Same for the water we drink, it's full of several and important minerals

Earth’s water didn’t just come from space, it also came from deep inside. 🌋 Early mantle rocks trapped hydrogen and oxygen in their crystals, and when those rocks melted, they released water into magma. As magma rose, the pressure dropped and water vapor bubbled out through volcanic eruptions. Over millions of years, that outgassing filled the skies with steam, which cooled, condensed, and rained down to form Earth’s first oceans. 🌍💧Isotope ratios support the claim, that most of our water came from this process.

So it's basically H2O but different only in isotope? I don't get it

so, your first statement is true or false. from what i understand its still H2O? just different isotopes?

Caniac2006 :
It’s always H20, otherwise it’s not Hydrogen peroxide, which is the chemical name for water. Isotopes of hydrogen are still hydrogen. Isotopes of oxygen are still oxygen. It’s always H20

What are the processes that create water I know one is burning hydrogen but that process could not be what created all the water in existence could it ?

If it’s not H2O, then it isn’t water. We don’t call a jar of hydrochloric acid water do we? No. Because it’s not water.
