If guns are not the issue than why does the US have a gun homicide rate 25x higher than the average of other OECD/wealthy countries. A bad person has to be behind the gun but it’s the ease with which bad people can get a hold of them that is the issue.

So all gun owners should have almost a year of courses knowing how to operate the firearm and this should include 6 months of recorded training from a professional and it should only be used for practical reasons and only if you are a professional can you do anything else (think nascar vs. just driving to work)

But it’s not. Cars get us places. Guns have one purpose. A car crash is an accident. A bullet leaving a chamber is RARELY unintentional, and even when it is, it’s literally the only thing that gun can do, shoot.

i blame the city planners for designing the city so that we have to drive everywhere and are unable to walk or take public transit, and for designing the roads in such a manner to encourage dangerous driving habits. hope that helps!

Great answer, it’s almost like before someone drives a vehicle that can cause harm to others they need to prove some level of competency, have a license, have insurance tied to it, go through a physical, and complete a written and practical exam.

Honestly, I think both is fair. its a great argument for promoting walkable cities/areas. If people are given access to forms of transportation that dont give them the wheel. there may be a decrease in alcohol associated crashes.
