@peggy_adams_animal_leagu: 📣Mashed Potato📣 We are overwhelmed by the love & support shown for our boy. With that being said please understand this is not a simple case of shelter fearfulness. This is a boy who KNOWS NOTHING. He poops & pees on himself. He can’t be walked bc he doesn’t know what a leash is. This is a dog who was left outside for 2 years with ZERO socialization. And although alot of your would love this boy the average “adopter” would be overwhelmed with him. Imagine having a 100lb puppy without the puppy without the confidence. It will takes months for him to gain confidence and learn how to “dog” again. I’ve read many comments of people shaming the shelter for not allowing him to be adopted and coming into our rescue. And although some adopters may have the patience to give him an amazing home the majority of people that adopt from the shelter have zero education when it comes to behavioral cases. It was in the BEST interest of this boy to be NOT failed again. I get emotions run wild when you see a certain post/video but please understand he requires WORK. This is not an overnight fix. We are dedicated to his success and we look forward to watching him blossom ❤️
