We don’t have an identity crisis. They are in crisis over understanding our identity. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

All of this but also if you’re white mom/black dad mixed people automatically assume your mom either wants to be black or is racist. Or both.

I claim both, I’m black and white, and I’m tired of people trying to tell me what I am/what I’m not

or to determine “how black you are” they’ll ask you “is your mom or dad white?” and if you say your mom then you’re not considered “black” but if you say your dad you are. CAN I JUST LIVE LIKE DAMN

Daddy black, mama white, mixed chick checking in…NO LIE DETECTED! At my grown a** age, I no longer entertain any of this BS. Love me or leave me alone

REAL. I’m the only mixed person in my immediate family. Half my siblings are fully black and the other half are fully white. I’m claimed by neither. I’m uncomfortable talking about race with both.

They have so many opinions but I don’t understand why they even care so much. My favorite are the people who just start speaking to you in Spanish.

I’m not bircial at all, so I can’t relate specifically to being biracial, but I can relate to the erasure of blackness part. I have two fully black parents and I obviously LOOK fully black, but once Ive mentioned I have a Caribbean mom, some people were like “aw you’re exotic, that’s not fully black” like bro what 😭 My mother is black, I have all black grandparents and great grandparents. Why do people be so thirsty to erase someone’s blackness at every chance 😭 it’s so weird.
