if I remember correctly there isn't even a specific colour palette for the Union flag, obviously there's the most common one which is used all the time. You can't deface something if there isn't a set colour palette

Unlike America, there is nothing in the UK’s version of the constitution that states the union Jack has to be red, white and blue the Union Jack can in fact be any colour and it would not be defacing it
