This really speaks to me… Even though I know he loves me deeply, it still hurts to realize that, no matter how well he treats me, a part of him will always belong to his past—and that’s something I can never compete with, no matter how much love I give or how hard I try.

its not our mistake for love them so much but its their mistake that me us feel like that, if they cant move on or cant forget their past why they want to get know us right? at the end its gonna hurt us , conclusion heal first and open up when they ready to been in love again , dalam mencintai takde nya untuk pandang masa lalu, sepatutnya terima apa yang ada sekarang, for those out there dont ever make your partner feel like this, focus on your present partner and love them with all your heart!!

They can always find a different kind of love through us (new bf/gf) let's not compare ourselves to their pasts because we can always have something to offer better than what they received from their past. they may have experienced a lot together with their past lover/s, but that doesn't mean we can't let them experience new things, this time, with us.

I made myself understand that it will not be the same as her first love. All those letters that I gave her will never match as the letter that her first love gave her. you cant compete with someone’s past because the past isnt just a person, its a collection of memories, moments, and versions of them that once felt like home. and trying to measure urself against that will only make you feel like you are standing in a place you were never meant to fill. i learned my lesson the hard way..
