@casabolanos: Selling everything to move abroad? We firmly decided in January 2025 that we would be leaving the U.S. and knew we’d leave in August. That gave us 8 months to plan, but we really didn’t start until closer to the end. FB Marketplace was great and I started listing things there first, as people tend to take longer to message back and forth. Poshmark was my go-to for selling our clothes and shoes Since we were still living in our house, bigger items like our beds and sofa were sold towards the end and we had about 4 estate sales to do so Everything else that we couldn’t sell was donated to local charities. I even had friends come and pick through and take things we couldn’t sell, as I’d rather it go and be used than to a landfill! Overall, we really only sold everything in a span of 2 months. June + July were hectic and August was spent traveling around the U.S. We only shipped two 20 x 20 boxes down to South America and everything else came with us in 2 checked bags and 3 carry on maletas 🧳 Crazy? I think so and don’t recommend waiting until last minute like we did 😮‍💨 Questions on our move?
