@thescottishwife: If you grew up in the U.K. I'm sure you'll know these well! They popped back in my head the other day, I felt super nostalgic & just HAD to make some. It was my friends birthday yesterday so I thought that was the perfect occasion. Whenever I make a cake I use my grannies recipe. I think it's an old Bero recipe (IYKYK). I doubled up the recipe today. It's usually 4/4/4/2, if you want to make a slightly larger recipe use 6/6/6/3 or 8/8/8/4. I'm sure you've got the idea!
