Thanks for the video man!! Long time enjoyer of your content/playing. I agree in that the G/G# generally don’t coincide. Learned this concept from Barry Harris in which he teaches that you “borrow” from the scales diminished notes (D F G# B) and then resolve them to C6. So it’s rather a great set of tension and release notes to create cool passing diminished chords than a typical key. He also creates a m6 diminished scale in which a Cm6 and D diminished make up all the notes of the scale. Super cool sound

If you add a Eb and a F# or Gb then the G# or Ab with the Eb and Gb becomes a German Augmented chord, or a secondary dominant to the bII7 chord, or the Neopolitan chord. So says Bach anyway
