cia was behind the protests and american reporters staying in hotels on the square reported not hearing a shot fired. chinese people are educated about the events, they just call it the june 4th incident. the famous “tank man” videos of a guy blocking tanks was actually blocking tanks leaving the square, not headed towards it. most of the violence that occurred that day was outside of the square. there are a few articles from western journalists at the time that confirm this. we are heavily propagandized against china.
