I heared the name vercingetorix mentioned in a Julius Caesar documentary in 10th grade and I always thought about the name and even named my cat that but I never did my research as to actually who and what he did lol

Few things. Cisalpine Gaul had already been Romanized and there were Roman collaborators who helped Caesar into Celtica and Belgica. Germania was its own set of polities on the other side of the Rhine, not Gaul and not conquered by Rome for the most part. Several tribes did aid the Gauls though. Alesia absolutely shook me when I translated Caesar for the first time; what a truly complex, ginormous siege.
