I'm 30k words in, and I'm writing in 3rd person. But everytime my main character whispers something in my ear, it comes out in 1rst person. So I don't know what that means. I might go back and rewrite once I'm finished 😅

I feel like first person makes more sense for showing how the mcs mental state gets ruined over time, how her sacrifice was mostly selfish…but ALSO at the same time first person POV WOULD RUIN the plot twist I have for the ending

honestly this is so true. I normally write in only third person, but the main character is so emotionally secretive that it just fell flat until I switched to first person. it made it so much more immersive because they’re far more emotional and forthcoming internally lol
