@eatwithalyssa: Better than Boston Market Mac & Cheese🧀 In pan on medium heat add: -4 tablespoons of butter -1 teaspoon of dry mustard -1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder -1/2 teaspoon of regular paprika Whisk the spices into the butter then slowly whisk in: -1/4 cup of flour -one 12 ounce can of evaporated milk -2 cups of whole milk *make sure to whisk each ingredient in before adding the next Once the milk is warmed, add in: -12 ounces of American cheese (that’s freshly sliced from the deli, do not use the American cheese wrapped in plastic.) After that melts in, add: -8 ounces of freshly shredded sharp cheddar -4 ounces of freshly shredded cheddar jack *always use freshly shredded cheese, pre-shredded cheese will not melt correctly! Add the cheese in a little bit at a time, and once it’s all fully melted, season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Then you’re going to turn off the heat, and add in 1 pound of cooked Rotini Pasta. (To make it even better, add a generous amount of chicken bouillon powder to the pasta water before boiling.)
