Spent a few years as an industrial maintenance tech. Had a robot one time that kept getting parts stuck in the chuck every cycle. Line needed to run for 1 more hour to make a shipment. I spent the next hour with a rubber mallet hitting the robot every cycle to make sure that the the line kept running. I got so in sync with it that the line maintained its 7 second cycle time.

Fun fact: percussive maintenance is such a reliable method of repair that military technical manuals list it as a step of the troubleshooting process for electrical . They indicate which component and where to "liberally apply percussive maintenance" on said component.
