Such weird rules. I wonder how Mr. Negative works if both players have an effect in play saying they don't lose from having 0 or less life, and you play him while one of you is at negative life. Would it be as simple as 20 and -5 is a difference of 25 for example?

Neat. Now, how does this work with Tainted Remedy? It's a replacement effect, as it states "instead," but it is also just an exchange and not life gain or loss. But since they would be, essentially, gaining life if they had the lower total, would they still lose life if you had Tainted Remedy out?
