Zappa was not entirely iconoclastic, if beliefs, authority, sensibilities, & institutions are backed up by bedrock truth; he had respect for a limited number of folks who truly deserving of that respect. This Russian musicologist Zappa refers to was the real deal. Slonimsky died just two years after Zappa’s passing, but of courts at a far more advanced age. Musicologist are among the best group humans…Nicolas Slonimsky, Donald Grout, Joseph Kerman, Robert Greenberg, among others.

Prostate cancer is very beatable. And it was very beatable in the 90s. But if you don’t get checked. You can’t know if you have it. So see your doctor. Get a PSA test it’s a blood test. And Yep. The digit. Up the back door. Takes two seconds. Frank was gone way too soon. Terribly tragic.
