Godfather 2 is just as good if not better because it juxtaposes Vito’s rise and Michael’s fall. Robert De Niro is amazing, and his arc and getting to see how don corleone came into power, while also putting his family before everything else. Michael put buisness and power, before his family, which is why he lost everything. Lee Strasberg as Hyman Roth is a way better villain than Don Barzini. John Cazale is spectacular too, he allows you to symphasize with Fredo even though he betrayed Michael. Also the final scene when all of the characters from godfather part 1 are together is amazing, and is the perfect end to the movie.
