@akg_farm_and_hay: Why did the hay baler start running the twine off the hay bale? Hay bales kinda looking bad also now. #hay #hayseason2025 #haytok #farmlife #farm
that adjustment is for the twine spacing. On my john deere 435 there's a rod that keeps the twine away from the edge. If it gets bent it will let the twine fall off the edge

Left or right side? If left side as you’re sitting in the tractor then check the twine hook near the twine shear plate.

Sounds like the twine guide is either bent or broke

There’s a arm that goes from the side where the chain is into the pickup area that keeps the twine off the edge. May have lost the pin and it fell out.

I’ve noticed that when the hay is too dry and slick, the string will slip off the bale.

Adjuster on each side of baler by chains. Has a knob and adjustment slide. Manual stop to go with electronic controls. If those are set then you may have sensor issue.

If you can’t find where the spring goes. Go to John Deere and tell them you need the twine spring and they can show you.

Possibly if the hay is dry and slick it will do that, straw, vasey and Johnson will do that this time of year
